Meet Miss Millie, our little Pocket Pooch :)

Millie weighs around 5 kilos / 11 lbs and is a lively, affectionate, confident little dog.

She was the pregnant dog we rescued who later needed an emergency caesarean, most likely because she had become pregnant by a much larger dog.

Thankfully, one of her puppies survived. Her daughter Pippin is doing very well and is also available for adoption. (last photo)

Millie has been an excellent mama, and now it is her turn to find a home of her own.

She is spayed, vaccinated, house-trained, good on a leash, and great with other dogs.

She loves being part of the pack, sits for treats, comes when called, and enjoys going for rides in the car.

She is very affectionate and loves cuddles and being carried like a baby.

She is also well behaved in the home. She does not bark excessively, dig, chew things, or cause problems around food.

Millie enjoys running around and going on little adventures with the other dogs, but she does not wander far and comes back when called.

She is confident, sociable, and very attached to her humans.

Because she is only around 5 kilos / 11lbs, she could also travel internationally.

FAQ

  • Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?

We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.

  • Can I visit the animals available for adoption?

Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

    For more information visit our:
    DOG ADOPTION PAGE
    CAT ADOPTION PAGE

  • Do you rescue wild animals too?

We focus on rescuing dogs and cats, but we can point you in the right direction if you’ve found a wild animal in distress. We recommend contacting:

    ‍Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Uvita at +506 2200 3271
Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center via WhatsApp at +506 6058 3898
SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas) at (+506) 2522-6500 for wildlife emergencies.

  • I found a stray dog / cat. Can you help me?

For urgent cases, please refer to our Emergency Guidelines on the CONTACT PAGE.
    ‍
We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.

  • I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.

    There are two possible reasons:

    1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
    ‍
    2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.

  • Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.

  • How are you funded?

We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE

  • Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.

However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
