Personality and social behaviour
Zazu is being fostered on a farm with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and guinea hens, all living together peacefully. She is comfortable around a wide variety of animals and should adapt well to a multi-pet home.
She is extremely loving, friendly and delighted to meet people.
Zazu has had limited experience with children, but her affectionate and playful nature suggests she could become a wonderful family companion. As with any young dog, introductions should be calm and supervised.

Ideal home
Zazu would benefit from a secure space where she can run, play and explore. She could live happily as an only dog, but she would also thrive with one or more friendly canine companions.

Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

There are two possible reasons:
1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
