MEET ROSA 🐾
Rosa appeared completely out of nowhere at a home high in the mountains above Rivas.
She had found herself a little hiding place underneath a house…The family living at the house gave her time and patience, slowly allowing her to become comfortable enough for them to get closer to her.
Rosa is a littloe shy girl…not aggressive at all — she is simply a sensitive little dog who needs a little time to feel safe.
With their help, we were eventually able to bring her into foster care before the family moved away. It ws really last minute.
Since then, Rosa has come such a long way.
She loves her foster home, has become very attached to her foster mom, and absolutely adores Penny, another Charlie’s Angels rescue dog staying in the same home.
She enjoys playing with Penny and the other dogs and, according to her foster mom, she especially loves sleeping in the bed.
Rosa is a sweet, independent little dog who gets along well with both dogs and cats. (We do not yet know how she is with children.)
She can still be a little shy with new people, so her future adopter should be patient and give her the time she needs to settle in and build trust.
A securely fenced property is important for Rosa.
She is now ready for a loving, stable home where she can continue gaining confidence and become part of a family of her own.

Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.
There are two possible reasons:
1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
