Miss Pickle

Meet Miss Pickle!

One of eight gorgeous puppies, Miss Pickle is the second smallest of her litter, weighing just 4.3 kg (9.5 lbs).

She's also one of the calmest, with a wonderfully sweet and gentle personality.

  • Born: July 31, 2026
  • Expected adult weight: 20–22 kg (44–49 lbs)
  • Vaccinations: Second puppy vaccination completed
  • Location: La Palma, Pérez Zeledón

Her beautiful mama, Lova, looks very much like a black Belgian Shepherd. You can see her in the last photo!

If you'd like to meet Miss Pickle or one of her siblings, please get in touch. She might just be your new best friend!

RAINY SEASON ADOPTION SPECIAL – ₡25,000

Rainy season is especially challenging for rescues, so we're currently offering a reduced adoption fee of ₡25,000 per puppy, for both Ticos and expats.

A little request from us: If you're able to contribute our regular adoption fee, please consider doing so.

We're struggling to keep up with the enormous costs of running our rescue, and every extra colón helps us cover veterinary bills, food, and the many animals depending on us.

Now, who would love to give Miss Pickle a home?

FAQ

  • Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?

We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.

  • Can I visit the animals available for adoption?

Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

  • Do you rescue wild animals too?

We focus on rescuing dogs and cats, but we can point you in the right direction if you’ve found a wild animal in distress. We recommend contacting:

    ‍Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Uvita at +506 2200 3271
Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center via WhatsApp at +506 6058 3898
SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas) at (+506) 2522-6500 for wildlife emergencies.

  • I found a stray dog / cat. Can you help me?

For urgent cases, please refer to our Emergency Guidelines on the CONTACT PAGE.
    ‍
We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.

  • I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.

    There are two possible reasons:

    1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
    ‍
    2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.

  • Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.

  • How are you funded?

We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE

  • Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.

However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
