How To Join Our Team

At Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, we operate solely through foster homes and do not have a rescue center or shelter with volunteer accommodations. Therefore, we can only accept volunteers who do not require room and board in Costa Rica.

To join our team of volunteers, you should have skills such as: the ability to transport animals to the vet in the Pérez Zeledón region (owning a car is essential), assisting with rescue missions, dog training, walking dogs, providing supplies to foster homes, speaking Spanish to support foster homes, or a willingness to help with our monthly spay & neuter campaigns.

Additional skills like taking photos and videos for our website, social media expertise, or helping organize adoption events and fundraisers are always a bonus!

If you're ready to make a difference, please fill out the volunteer form, and we’ll be in touch!

We look forward to working together!

Volunteer FAQ

  • Can I stay at the rescue as volunteer?

Charlie’s Angels is a foster-based rescue—we work without a shelter or center. This means we cannot host international volunteers who need housing, but we’d love help from locals or expats already living nearby.

  • What kind of help do you need?

We need hands-on help in the Pérez Zeledón area, especially
    from people who:

    • Can drive animals to and from the vet (having your own car is essential)
    • Assist in rescues
    • People who can support our foster homes - make sure they have everything they need
    • Support our monthly spay & neuter clinics
    • Dog training skills for puppies and adults Dog walking (if foster has not enough time or has multiple dogs)
    • Photography and short videos of our animals
    • Social media and website content
    • Organizing adoption events or fundraisers
  • Do I need experience to volunteer?

Nope! Just a big heart, some spare time, and a willingness to learn.

  • How do I sign up?

Just fill out our Volunteer Application Form and we’ll be in touch!

  • Are there other ways I can help?

If you’re unable to volunteer locally, you can still support our mission in other ways:

    Foster an animal:
Provide temporary care until they find their forever home.

    Become a flight angel:
Transport an animal on your flight to their adoption destination.

    Donate:
Financial contributions are always deeply appreciated and help us continue our work.

Every effort makes a difference—thank you for your support!

Every Story Needs Heroes

Whether you open your home, lend a hand locally, or help transport our furry friends to safety, your support makes all the difference.

Spay & Neuter Saves Lives

Since 2014, our monthly pop-up spay and neuter clinics have helped reduce pet overpopulation and improve animal welfare in the Pérez Zeledón region.

A professional vet team performs the surgeries in a mobile ambulance unit, while our experianced volunteers support the animals every step of the way.
