EMMY

Emmy is very well behaved inside the house, does not chew things, and naturally stays close to her foster family.

She gets along with every dog she meets, is wonderful with children, and loves cuddles and human company.Emmy would be a great match for someone looking for a medium-sized companion who is friendly, adaptable, and easy to have around.

She really is a little dream of a dog.

We first found Emmy wandering alone through San Isidro. One of our volunteers saw her in one neighborhood and was already concerned, but when she spotted Emmy again miles away in another area, it became clear that she was lost or abandoned and searching for food.

We took her into our care, had her vaccinated and spayed, and she has since become a wonderful member of her foster family.

Unfortunately, her current foster parents are leaving the country soon, so Emmy urgently needs either a foster home or, ideally, a permanent family.

Please contact us if you can offer Emmy the safe and loving home she deserves.

📍  Fosterd in Rivas, Pérez Zeledón.

We can help with transport logistics if you are seriously interested.

If you would like to apply to adopt Emmy, please fill out our adoption application and we will get in touch with you.

FAQ

  • Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?

We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.

  • Can I visit the animals available for adoption?

Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

    For more information visit our:
    DOG ADOPTION PAGE
    CAT ADOPTION PAGE

  • Do you rescue wild animals too?

We focus on rescuing dogs and cats, but we can point you in the right direction if you’ve found a wild animal in distress. We recommend contacting:

Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Uvita at +506 2200 3271
Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center via WhatsApp at +506 6058 3898
SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas) at (+506) 2522-6500 for wildlife emergencies.

  • I found a stray dog / cat. Can you help me?

For urgent cases, please refer to our Emergency Guidelines on the CONTACT PAGE.

We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.

  • I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.

    There are two possible reasons:

    1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.

    2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.

  • Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.

  • How are you funded?

We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE

  • Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.

However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
