Roo
Roo (“Kangaroo”) 💕t
iny, loving & SOOO funny 🙂Roo, also known as “Kangaroo,” is a small 5 kg / 11 lb with a funny little personality, and so much love to give!
Roo is one of those little dogs who makes you smile every single day... she is affectionate, charming, curious, and SO SO cuddly. She loves belly rubs, gentle touch, being close to her person, and curling up nearby as part of everyday life.Inside the home, Roo is very easy going.
She is house trained, non-destructive, sleeps calmly through the night in her crate, and is very happy in a familiar home environment. If no lap is available, she is happy to relax, play with a toy, or simply hang out nearby. She loves learning tricks for treats, and is a big fan of carrots :)
Roo currently lives in a foster home with dogs and cats she knows well, and she gets along beautifully with them. However, her foster home is very remote, so Roo has not had many chances to experience the wider world. She has been in a safe little cocoon for the last two months with her person and her pack.Because of that, new people, new dogs, and unfamiliar situations can still feel scary to her at first. So we are looking for someone who understands that Roo is a little raw diamond. She is loving, smart, sweet, and deeply bondable…. but she still needs gentle guidance, confidence-building, and positive socialization at her own pace.
Roo’s ideal home
•A home that will help her build confidence slowly
• Someone who enjoys gentle training and positive reinforcement
• An experienced dog person• A person or family looking for a deeply loving little companion
• Other dogs are fine, as long as they fit with her size wise.
• Roo currently lives with a cat and it works well
If you are looking for a tiny companion who will love you with her whole heart — and you have the patience to help her discover the world gently — Roo is your girl.

FAQ
Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.
For more information visit our:

For urgent cases, please refer to our Emergency Guidelines on the CONTACT PAGE.
We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.
There are two possible reasons:
1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?
Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.
How are you funded?
We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE
Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
