Roo
the tiny snuggle bug
Roo
Meet Roo (“Kangaroo”)
• Very affectionate and loves cuddles and belly rubs
• Happy to relax quietly if no lap is available
• Gets along well with dogs and improving with cats
• Sleeps calmly through the night in her crate (and loves it)
• Could be a great little travel companion
• Comfortable with baths, paw handling, and even thunder
• house trained
• Sweet, balanced personality
Kangaroo — or Roo — doesn’t just tolerate affection, she absolutely melts into it.
She loves being touched, cuddled, and close to her people.
Belly rubs, being gently held, or curling up quietly beside someone are her favorite things in the world.
As Roo has settled into her foster home, we’ve also discovered that she has a lovely, easy rhythm. If no lap is available, she is perfectly content relaxing nearby or playing on her own. She is affectionate without being demanding — simply a sweet, balanced little dog who enjoys being part of everyday life.
Because Roo is so tiny, she needs a home that is mindful of her size. She eats separately (other pets’ food is just too tempting!) and responds beautifully to gentle, positive guidance.
At just ten months old, Roo has all the love of a puppy but has already grown out of the most challenging puppy stages. She is in that perfect moment in life where she is ready to bond deeply with her forever person.
Roo’s rescue story:
she is one of the puppies we rescued from a hoarding situation where eight female puppies were about to go into heat at the same time. Thankfully, we were able to catch them all just in time. Today, they are all doing incredibly well.
Roo and her sister Rita are now in a wonderful foster home and ready to find their forever families.
If you are looking for a tiny dog who truly loves being close to her people, Roo might be your girl.
Contact Charlie's Angels Animal Rescue Costa Rica to apply to adopt (transport to the USA or Canada can be arranged), or feel free to message me directly to learn more about her.
And if this isn’t your time to adopt, please share. Maybe someone you know is looking for exactly this kind of love.

FAQ
Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
