Dolly
small and gentle
Dolly
Remember the two tiny Chihuahua mixes we rescued a few weeks ago — the sisters who came to us completely starved?
Daisy has now been adopted, and today we would love to introduce little Dolly, who is still looking for her forever home.
Dolly was born in April 2025, weighs 3.5 kg, and is spayed, vaccinated, and up to date on deworming.
She has recovered beautifully and is now healthy, and ready for the next chapter of her life.
Dolly is a shy little girl and needs a little time, patience, and understanding than many other dogs.
She is not the kind of dog who will trust instantly, but she is incredibly sweet once she feels safe. Because of her sensitive nature, Dolly needs a calm and loving home where people will let her adjust at her own pace.
Her sister Daisy was just as shy, and she is now thriving in her new home, where she has other confident dogs to show her the ropes. That is exactly why we feel Dolly would also do best in a home with at least one friendly small dog already in the household.
A stable canine companion will help her continue building confidence and feeling secure.
Dolly is not suited for a loud or chaotic environment. She needs kindness, patience, and a gentle approach — but for the right person, she will be a very special little companion.
If you feel you could offer Dolly the loving home she needs, please fill out lour adoption application online.

FAQ
Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
