Chloe appears to be some kind of Yorkshire Terrier or long hair dachshund mixes and is around 1 year old.
She was found on the side of the road, completely emaciated, her coat badly matted, and her tiny body reduced to little more than skin and bones.
She was also just about to go into her first heat, so we are incredibly relieved that she was found in time before another unwanted litter could happen...
Unfortunately, not long afterward she was in foster care, Chloe had an accident on the property and had a small fracture on one of her front ankles. We still don’t know exactly how it happened, but thankfully the ankle healed. We had several x-rays taken and got the all clear from the vet.
You can still see a little limp, but it doesn’t slow her down at all — she is happy, playful, enjoys her walks, and loves spending time with other dogs.
And now this little girl is finally ready for her forever home... Who is the lucky new forever lap for Chloe?

Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

There are two possible reasons:
1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
