Meet Brownie, one of the four dogs we rescued from an abandoned house.
Since then, he has been in foster care, where he has truly blossomed. We honestly couldnât stop laughing during his photo shoot with his foster mom, RocĂo. They both smiled and laughed the exact same way into the camera, and it completely made our day.
Brownie is a total gem, a gteart companion dog, he is neutered, vaccinated, up to date on deworming, and doing absolutely amazing.
Brownie is a small dog, Â around 6 kilos (about 13 lbs).
He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is very friendly with people. He is super affectionate and makes a perfect companion dog.
We estimate Brownieâs age to be between 1.5 and 2 years old. He is an absolute sweetheartâalways in good spirits and a true joy to be around. Brownie has a gentle, happy nature and brings light wherever he goes.
We canât wait to see who the lucky person or family will be to welcome this special boy into their home.

Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, PĂ©rez ZeledĂłn, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, weâll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home. Â

We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but canât find it on the website.
There are two possible reasons:
1. We havenât had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.

2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. Youâre still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, weâre supported by Friends of Charlieâs Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica. Â
