Brownie

BROWNIE đŸŸ

Meet Brownie, one of the four dogs we rescued from an abandoned house.

Since then, he has been in foster care, where he has truly blossomed. We honestly couldn’t stop laughing during his photo shoot with his foster mom, Rocío. They both smiled and laughed the exact same way into the camera, and it completely made our day.

Brownie is a total gem, a gteart companion dog, he is neutered, vaccinated, up to date on deworming, and doing absolutely amazing.

Brownie is a small dog,  around 6 kilos (about 13 lbs).

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is very friendly with people. He is super affectionate and makes a perfect companion dog.

We estimate Brownie’s age to be between 1.5 and 2 years old. He is an absolute sweetheart—always in good spirits and a true joy to be around. Brownie has a gentle, happy nature and brings light wherever he goes.

We can’t wait to see who the lucky person or family will be to welcome this special boy into their home.

FAQ

  • Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?

We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.

  • Can I visit the animals available for adoption?

Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

    For more information visit our:

  • Do you rescue wild animals too?

We focus on rescuing dogs and cats, but we can point you in the right direction if you’ve found a wild animal in distress. We recommend contacting:

    ‍Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Uvita at +506 2200 3271
Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center via WhatsApp at +506 6058 3898
SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas) at (+506) 2522-6500 for wildlife emergencies.

For urgent cases, please refer to our Emergency Guidelines on the CONTACT PAGE.
    ‍
We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.

  • I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.

    There are two possible reasons:

    1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
    ‍
    2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.

  • Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name AsociaciĂłn Charlie’s Angels CR, cĂ©dula jurĂdica 3-002-757592.

  • How are you funded?

We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE

  • Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.

However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
