Meet Alma 🌿
Alma is one of the beautiful puppies rescued from living on the street near a busy highway restaurant. Despite her rough start, she has blossomed into a stunning young, medium-sized shepherd / Belgian Malinois–type mix with a calm, gentle nature and a playful spark.
She recovered incredibly fast after her rescue — gaining weight, confidence, and a shiny coat in no time.
Alma is smart and eager to learn; she already knows basic commands, sits patiently for her food, and picks things up quickly, she really is a joy to work with.
She is well socialized, loves playing with other dogs, and enjoys meeting new people.
Alma is house trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside, sleeps through the night, and settles in easily wherever she is.
She brings a quiet, steady happiness to everyday life.
Spayed, vaccinated, and fully ready for her forever home, Alma truly is a gem. Whoever adopts her will be very lucky to have such a loving, balanced, and gentle companion by their side.
If you’re looking for an athletic yet soft-hearted dog with a sense of adventure and lots of love to give, Alma might just be your perfect match 💕

FAQ
Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?
Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
