Savanna
your cuddly companion
Savanna
This girl was found high up in Chirripó National Park — nearly 3,500 meters (11,500 feet) above sea level!
Starving, exhausted, and completely alone, she somehow made it all the way to Crestones, the base camp for hikers climbing Cerro Chirripó.
At first, people thought she was a coyote — that’s how thin and wild she looked. But she was just a lost, starving dog in desperate need of help. 💔
Now, two months later, after lots of love, food, and vet care, Savanna is fully recovered and ready for adoption!
She’s healthy, happy, and showing her true sweet nature - and look how pretty she is!
Savanna is about one year old, playful with other dogs, VERY affectionate, and loves lying close to you for belly rubs. She walks beautifully on a leash, is easy to train (very food motivated!), and is house trained.
She can be a bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly once she feels safe.
Now, all she needs is someone who will give her the love and comfort she’s been missing — a human to spoil her the way she really deserves.

FAQ
Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we operate without a shelter or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

There are two possible reasons:
1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?
Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.
How are you funded?
We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE
Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
