MARVEL

Meet the marvellous MARVEL!

With her dazzling silver-grey coat and striking blue eyes, Marvel looks like she could be part Weimaraner - and she's every bit as gorgeous as it sounds.

She's the only gray puppy in her litter and the largest of the bunch, with a quiet confidence that makes her stand out even more.

Marvel was born on February 24 next to a cemetery where her devoted Labrador mix mother, Maxi, was likely abandoned while heavily pregnant.

Thanks to loving foster parents, she and her seven siblings have had the opportunity to thrive - and Marvel has lived up to her name.

Marvel is now a little over two months old and already a little bigger than her siblings. With her soulful eyes and gentle personality, she melts hearts.

We expect Marvel to grow into a medium to large sized dog - around 20-23+ kg (44-50 lbs). She is sociable, good with children and is looking forward to finding a family to call her own.

Marvel is currently in a foster home in Pérez Zeledón. If you live further away, we will be happy to help you organize transport.

Are you ready to bring a little magic home with you? ✨

Marvel is waiting to meet you!

FAQ

  • Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?

We are a foster-based rescue, which means we work without a shelter facility or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General / Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.

  • Can I visit the animals available for adoption?

Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

    For more information visit our:
    DOG ADOPTION PAGE
    CAT ADOPTION PAGE

  • Do you rescue wild animals too?

We focus on rescuing dogs and cats, but we can point you in the right direction if you’ve found a wild animal in distress. We recommend contacting:

Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Uvita at +506 2200 3271
Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center via WhatsApp at +506 6058 3898
SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas) at (+506) 2522-6500 for wildlife emergencies.

‍To report a dog or cat in need please visit our CONTACT PAGE

  • I found a stray dog / cat. Can you help me?

For urgent cases, please refer to our Emergency Guidelines on the CONTACT PAGE.

We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.

  • I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.

    There are two possible reasons:

    1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.

    2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.

  • Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.

  • How are you funded?

We rely entirely on donations from generous individuals and the occasional fundraising. Every contribution makes a big difference. For more informatiopn visit our DONATION PAGE

  • Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.

However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
