Meet Avery – The One with the Blue Eye 💙
At just 11 weeks old, Avery is already stealing hearts with his unique look and playful spirit. He has one stunning blue eye and one warm brown—and a personality as fun as his face!
Avery is the most energetic of the litter. He’s lively, loving, and always ready for playtime or cuddles. His fur is incredibly soft, and he soaks up affection like a sponge.
We expect Avery to stay on the smaller side of medium, just like his mama Abby—around 7 kg (15 lbs) when fully grown.
If you’re looking for a little adventure buddy with a big personality in a small package, Avery might just be your perfect match.

Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we work without a shelter facility or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General / Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.
There are two possible reasons:
1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.
2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?

How are you funded?

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.
However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
