Meet Ariel – The Gentle Charmer 💫

Ariel is the only pup in his litter with shorter, sleek fur, and he’s just as special on the inside. With his calm, pleasant nature and sweet demeanor, it’s no surprise he’s secretly foster mom’s favorite.

This boy is a quiet charmer—affectionate, easygoing, and always happy to be near you. At 11 weeks old, he’s already showing signs of being a wonderful, gentle companion. Ariel is growing up surrounded by his fun siblings and so much love from mum Abby!

We expect Ariel to grow to a small to medium size, just like his mama Abby—around 7 kg (15 lbs) when fully grown.

Where are you located / Is there a shelter I can visit?
We are a foster-based rescue, which means we work without a shelter facility or office. Every animal we help is cared for in a foster home. Most of our fosters and volunteers are located in and around San Isidro de El General / Pérez Zeledón, in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Can I visit the animals available for adoption?
Yes! Once your application is approved, we’ll coordinate a meet-and-greet with the foster home.

Do you rescue wild animals too?
We focus on rescuing dogs and cats, but we can point you in the right direction if you’ve found a wild animal in distress. We recommend contacting:

We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited resources, but we do our best to help whenever possible. To report a stray animal or find more information, please visit our CONTACT PAGE.
I saw a dog / cat on social media up for adoption but can’t find it on the website.
There are two possible reasons:

1. We haven’t had time to upload the animal to the website, but it may still be available.

2. The animal is in a foster-to-adopt trial or has already found a home. You’re still welcome to apply using our general adoption application. Then we can match you with a similar dog / cat.
Are you a officially registered non-profit organization?
Yes! Charlies Angels Resque is officially registered under the legal name Asociación Charlie’s Angels CR, cédula jurídica 3-002-757592.
How are you funded?

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?
Unfortunately, we can't issue tax-deductible receipts for donations made to our Costa Rican Bank Account or PayPal.

However, we’re supported by Friends of Charlie’s Angels Costa Rica, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the U.S. This allows U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions to support our rescue work in Costa Rica.
