Zola was hit by either a car or a motorcycle when she was only 4 months old. She had terrible flesh wounds and multiple fractures in her hind legs and hips.

We initially thought there is not much we can do. But the vet predicted that her chances of recovery were good, so we decided to go ahead with the surgery. Zola was transferred to the Costa Ballena Animal Hospital in Uvita where she underwent multiple surgeries.

She was a very brave puppy, very affectionate and so grateful to be taken care of.

Fortunately, the surgeries were a success and the wounds have completely healed. Although you can see that Zola had an accident once, she can walk very well and play with all the other dogs. Walking and playing, in fact, are the two things she enjoys the most. However, very long walks can be a bit too much for her.

Zola is one of the most enjoyable dogs at the shelter and makes everyone have a good laugh. She absolutely loves puppies and plays gently with all the other dogs.

She has a gift of enjoying the simple things in life, for example she can spend hours in the garden playing with a simple leaf, or just laying in a shady spot watching the world go by.

She shows affection to absolutely everyone and is always happy.
