please meet PERLA  aka YALA 🐾💕

Yala was run over and left on the side of the road with several broken bones.  A woman rescued her with a wheelbarrow and brought her home, where she kept the badly injured dog under the sink in her yard, as she did not have the financial means to take her to a vet.

In her desperate search for the owners, she met a girl who knew about our organisation and she reached out to us asked us for help. We took Perla to a veterinary clinic where she underwent surgery on several broken bones.

Perla then moved to a wonderful foster home where she had to be kept in a crate for several weeks.

But as soon as she was better, she made friends with her foster brother, a beautiful Golden Retriever, with whom she plays all day.  They are so cute together…

The foster parents, an animal-loving couple from Israel, are also absolutely in love with Perla. They nicknamed her YALA, which means LET'S GO in Hebrew! 👏🏼

And YALA goes!!! She has recovered amazingly well and is playing and running like a puppy!

This is what the foster home told us about Yala:

"She is such a gentle soul.... very good natured and so playful, a little wary of strangers, but she understands quickly that there is nothing to worry about, and she snuggles up and asks for more affection from our guests!

Yala is very good with cats, chickens and even rabbits!

Unfortunately, my husband still stands by his 4 dog rule. I would have kept her if it was up to me!"

YALA is fostered in Baru / Pérez Zeledon. But we can help to get her to you!
