Vicky came to us as an accident victim.  She was hit by by a motorcycle not far from our rescue center.  No one has ever claimed her as their dog, but we are sure she was someone's pet before.

She was brought to us with a broken jaw and paralyzed on both hind legs. Originally we thought she would be able to walk again, as the x-rays did not show any fractures, but the cat-scan we did later showed us that she must have had a blood clot in her spine, which sadly caused irreparable damage to her spinal cord.

Vicky is a character and a half and makes us all laugh every day.  She gets along with other dogs, but she gets really agitated when she sees a cat!

Vicky is paralyzed and we don't have much hope that she will ever move her hind legs again. But she is full of life and LOVES to play and be right in the middle of a dog play pile when it comes to playing time in the garden.

We have just ordered a dog wheelchair for her in the USA, which hopefully will arrive soon at the rescue center, and we will update this page with videos of Vicky with her new and fabulous wheels!
