Ladies and gentlemen, please meet Dita!

The little girl's life got off to a pretty rough start, as she was found with her siblings in a concrete pipe outside the city. (see last photos)

Her stray mum had no other safe place to give birth to her puppies, so she decided to deliver them there. We were called when the puppies' eyes were still closed.

As we were all very busy and the sanctuary was completely jammed and some of us were already on our Christmas holidays, we couldn't go there to rescue the pups.

But we called Gabriel and his girlfriend Valeria, two young Costa Ricans who didn't hesitate and headed off to rescue the puppies.

Gabriel and Valeria agreed to take the puppies home and bottle feed them until they were able to eat on their own.

And, as you can see.... they did a fantastic job! The other siblings have already been adopted, but Dita is still looking for her perfect home!

She has a very fun and loving nature, she gets along with other dogs, is very confident and always up for a cuddle.

We have already spayed her and fully vaccinated her, she is ready to go!

We expect Dita’s to weigh around 13-15 Kilos / 30-33 lbs when fully grown.

Please fill out our adoption application if you think Dita is the one for you.

We will contact you to arrange an appointment at our rescue centre in Rivas / Perez Zeledón
